My first flight with a New Age

Today I went to the field club without my father. I'm very lucky to have friends like Carles who picked up to me in the train station (one more time). Today had to be a transition day waiting for set up my New Age, and it really was a transition day. When we arrived to the field I realized I have forgot my Caracho's Wing joiner :-( So today I spent my time to help Carles, Dani and Javier with their flights. Dani is a very good friend and although he flights with elevator in left hand (I use right hand with elevator) he has borrowed me his New Age. I have made two flights (no launches) with very good feelings, I hope my New Age will works as good as Dani's one. He has told me some secrets :-P like CG and tow hook position, so it will be easier to trim my weapon for this season. Some photos here.

First traininig of the year

First traininig of the year. Carles, Alberto, Javier, Daniel, my father and me. We met at 10.30 but we arrive at eleven :-P Some chat while Javier was flying his heli and Alberto his new hand launch. We start to fly a little bit late. Wind direction was not clear and we're pretty lazy. Finally we set the winches in one of the corners of the field. While my New Age arrives I go on flying with my Caracho. Signal reception problems are not arranged. Servo and receiver were changed and my right aileron is still shaking when the radio is closed to plane. Next step, change the wiring. If everything is ok next weekend I will go to Walter's home to pick up my NA, and maybe I will also fly on Sunday.
One year ago I began to work with F3B at Home blog and a lot of things has happend, good things like the Europhia flying, my good performance in f3b nats and Palencia contest, the trip to Italy and my new speed record, and bad things like my very bad performance in Madrid contest and Europhia crashing. Bad and good experience will help me to be a better f3b pilot (I hope to have more good ones like bad ones :-P )

A new aeromodelling discipline: F3B-X

This season are going to be offered a lot of new planes. Most of them are from Germany. Planes like Diabolo, Supersonic-R and Radical are going to lead a sort of plane designed and made by most prestigious pilots and builders (Marcus Becker, Martin Weberschock, Martin and Andreas Herrig, Heiner Fischer,..) with amazing features and also amazing prices. 1500, 1600 and 1700 euros are figures very common in priceslists. For this season my choice is for New Age "von Walter Reist". A HQ/W profil and Masterpice fuse. Very, very cheap comparing with german planes (about 900 €). Last year I had just one Europhia, this year I want to have two units of the same model and fly as much as posible before the season begins. A new discipline is born: F3B-eXpensive!!!!!

Happy New year guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On 31st we meet my father and me with Portella family (Javier, Alberto and Dani) to make last flights of the year. I was not able to fly because a tail servo was ko so I spend my time to make some launches and photos. Lot of termal and quiet flights (no training stress),pleasant chat with everybody in the meal and planning next season. We are tempted to go to a lot of contests in and out of Spain. In next weeks we fix our f3b calendar. My New Age is very closed to be in my hands. Walter has came from his Christmas Hollidays so I hope to have my New Age very soon :-) It was not the best end of year but 2007 seems to be a amazing year. Photos here.
