30 Laps Machine

I already have my "30 Laps Machine". Now is time for training very hard and I'll get :-P We had a good weather forcast for Sunday finally so my dad and me met with Portella Family (thanks for pulleys  Javier!!!) Some potos here.

Eldorado

Jaro Müller has a new F3B-F3F model: Eldorado. It looks an Egida evolution's for F3B/F flying. Wheight spectrum is very promising: 1900 - 3900. Two kilos of ballast???!!! Gods didn`t want we fly that weekend...

Weather forcast for that weekend was not quite good. We anticipated very strong winds in Pla de Vent field so we have rised to Santa Coloma slope. While we drive up to slope rain has begun and increased slowly. We have just time to prepare a protection form my MC-20 and make some flights :-( Gods didn`t want we fly that weekend... :-(

Ober Winch and low temperatures

Interesting article from Cirrus RC Flyklubb about Ober Winch and low temperatures. We don't have that problem in Spain, we were flying last day in sunny conditions with 18º C :-P

We met in Pla de Vent before Christmas Holidays. Maybe it will be last time we fly that year... or not! ;-) Some K and B flights. Personally I've been working in A Task and I will keep train with Speed Task in next session. Some photos here.

Coffe Milk & F3B

I went to Pla de Vent field with my father. Field looks nice with ground plenty of grass :-) We spent most of time making duration flights. Wind was off all day long so it was very interesting to practice duration without good launches ;-) More flights next weekend. Hard trainnings will start on December to prepare Season 2013!

No wind

We had f3f club contest that morning in Santa Coloma slope, weather forecast was bad and right :-( People have tried to fly with relative success with DLG, RES, F3B, Foamies,... but out of contest :-( Some photos here.

Time for Duration

I have been in Pla de Vent field that morning with Portella family. The weather was sunny and zero wind... Very rare conditions in that field so I have been working with duration settings of my fs4 and improving my skills flying and looking thermals in low altitude . Javier was flying his new hybrid (Tempus wings and Masterpiece fuse), while Al and Dani are focused with F3K because they will participate in K Nationals next November. Some photos here.

World Cup season ended

F3B World Cup season ended last weekend in Munich. Andreas Bohlen won the 37th Oktoberfest-Pokal and is the winner of the new FAI-World Cup F3B. The German Team for F3B WC was finally selected in last contest and will be trained by Martin Herrig, Andreas Kunz and Thomas Dylla.

Well, we have rested a lot since last flights in F3B Nats so it was time to work again. Dani and me were selected for Spanish Team so we will work hard to prepare the WC. I have first contact with Pla de Vent field last Sunday. We met with Portella family as usual and made some flights. Javier, my dad and me flew our B planes and Dani and Alberto flew their K planes.

Well... after three long months I post in my blog again. I've focused my spare time in my trainings from Kirchheim Open until Spanish Championship. All my efforts let me get silver medal in National Champ and be selected for Spanish Team for F3B WC next Summer :-) So I have a lot of work for next twelve months :-P

Milang Open F3B International 2012

Milang Open was won for Jeoren Smits. Also was selected Aussie Team for F3B WC: John Skinner, Mike Rae,  Carl Strautins and Nick Chabrel. Jeoren won third speed round with a 12.69... That is fast dude!!!!!!

Tomorrow I will drive to Pla de Vent with my two "rockets" I hope to fly both.

I've brought to my father to secret field. Wind direction was not steady oriented so we have set winches in 90 degrees.

2011 F3F Catalonian League ended

We had F3F contest last Sunday, it was the last contest of the year for Catalonian League. We had few wind and worst conditions I've ever met. We counted times with calendar instead timers (rounds were won with times of 102, 84, 80 and 83 seconds):-P I was classified in second position but it was not enough to get a place in the podium :-( My Altus has worked very well so I will go on with them in 2012.

Last Sunday I went to Santa Coloma slope with my father and Carles Aymat to prepare the last contest of Catalonian F3F League. Not good conditions (4 m/s) but we could fly a little bit :-P

Yesterday I burn out one of my winches resistor. It's a second hand winch that was used in 2001 WC in Chrudim. I think engine is also dead so I don't know to do... :-(

Running with Fosa

A new visit to our secret field. I spent the whole morning to make run my Fosa. Amazing!!!!!! I've never made so fast turns :-P

I love Fosa

Sunday was my Second day flying my Fosa, I'm falling in love... That plane launches like a rocket!!! I spend second day to test distance settings with some ballast (500 grms aproach) and duration. It seems CG in 98 mm. is right.


For first time I have a plane that launches really high so now I'm not scared to use more ballast that I used :-)

F3B World Championship begins Tomorrow. Germany is favourite to win individual and team competition. There will be a very interesting fight with countries like USA, France, Japan and Australia for team podium.

2011 Pre-season begins

I hadn't time to finish my Fosa for last weekend so I brought my Orange Altus to Bràfim. I just made one flight because my towhook broke after first launch :-( I spend most of time to help my friends and my father with first flights after hot summer. I made some photos but you can see more in f3b.es

Fosa fuse is ready. We don't have enough room to place receiver and eneloop batteries so we have to remove housing receiver :-O Tails work perfect, so is now to attack wings!!!!

Ocelot released

After lot of months we released one of our Ocelots in Santa Coloma Slope. Before, we drove to Santa Coloma de Gramanet to enjoy the festival that Ikarus Club make every year. That time we were accompanied by my sister and cousin. My sister flew Ocelot with my help and enjoied it. Mmm... maybe we'll be three pilots in the family... My father is scared!!!!!!

Extasys, old lines and cool prize

Last weekend drove to Pla de Vent field with a very good new. Saturday night I won a Fosa in the F3B France Team Lotery. We spent lot of time with first flights of my dad's Extasys and changing our old lines on Sunday :-P Now I have to wait until Winterthur to pick up my new babe. Some photos here.
