Winter is coming...

  

First F3B flights in 2016. After lot of calm days wind has appeared with new year helping us to make good launches. It has been a hard day with lot of work setting winches twice because wind direction :-( Happy to see Alberto with his Crossfire :-) Cold and turbulent wind make flights very challenging but it has been a good training anyway with very good flights :-O

2016 begins...

First flight in 2016 has been in slope. Tomorrow F3B, I promise you ;-) We are suffering a long and big anticyclone since some weeks ago. Weather forecast warned us about strong wind for weekend so I decided to go to Santa Coloma slope. Wind was cold, strong, turbulent and with irregular efficiency. 0,9 kilos ballast looked quite good sometimes but sometimes plane didn't penetrate. Anyway it has been a good training for Calçot Race in February. Tomorrow more and better ;-)

New morning in Pla de Vent field after Christma's break. It didn't look we were going to fly because fog but some wind clear the sky luckily.After Santa's visit we use to have new toys every year. Carles brought his new Pike Precision electro fuse and me my new glasses :-P  Now I will stare my plane far away in duration flights :-O No more excuses to get 10 minutes!!!!!!! Photos

Electro F3B and future

Everytime we can find more electro versions for our f3b planes. Nobody likes to carry winches and batteries every weekend. Electro-fuses can help us to take care our backs but it will never be the same... 

 Jiri Tuma, Samba, Baudis Model, and Martin Webershock next year offer us modified fuses ready to set a battery and electric engine. Electro fuse is not a total solution to avoid carrying tons of material but is good for a day without team mates or few time to spend in field. 

Some people think f3b future is in electro fuse. I am not agree with them. Some years ago I read a post made by Daryl Perkins (a guy who won 4 f3b "contests" some years ago) where he explained Launching was fourth task of f3b class. 

I think future for f3b are contest. If we can make an 100% automatic signal system everybody will be able to organize contest and enjoy that exciting class.

Megaline vs RC ナイロンライン

Time for material test, winch lines. I wanted to compare Megaline and RC ナイロンライン thiner versions but I had to break training to come back home earlier :-( I will go on  testing both lines next Sunday because we are having calm conditions again :-)

F3F Catalonian League 2015

We have flown last contest of F3F Catalonian League 2015. Just two contests have been flown in 2015 because extrem or lack conditions :-( Hope next season will be better. Javier Portella is 2015 winner. My performance was very poor. I just flew today contest flying better and better in very round of three. My last one was flown with 0 wind so my opportunity to get podium position  was vanished :-P 

Dad & Son

I have flown with my Dad today. We were alone in field so we have made lot of flights. We have been focused with launch and distance settings in very calm conditions. I feel more and more confortable with Radical Jazz. I have to work hard on Winter to be in good shape and confident to flight as good as possible in Colmar, Montauban and Kirchheim (first half of season). Tomorrow I will meet with whole Team because we have a F3F Contest, weather forecast seems very bad but CD bring as a good meal :-P

24rd Summer Soaring Criterium F3B

Hey Guys...and Ladies!!! Mr. Duchesne recomend us to make hotel booking as soon as possible for Anthisnes contest. Because a motorbike world event will be very tough to look for a room for that weekend. Mine is done! ;-)

Bad luck today :-(

We wanted to make some flights this morning but weather didn't allow it. Foggy conditions. We had to wait lot of time to fly safely. I just made 4 flights testing thin japanese line. I hope to be luckier next weekend.

Planning 2016

Today, was one of the last trainings of year. We met Dani, Javier and Carles. Me have been talking about contests for 2016. It seems I will be in Colmar and Kirchheim. Now I have to convince my friend Tom Satinet to go to Belgium :-P Cold and calm day with low wind from back with some rain. Lot of duration flights with long travels and no circling. Just waiting for 10 minutes :-P

F3B trainings officially today. Dani has test his repaired Fosa Lift which was one of victims of windy conditions in Holland :-( Moll bateries were maidened and now are charging and will be stored waiting for official contests ;-) Next weekend more flights and I will not give up to fly weekends all year!!!!!!!! We are back again!!!!

After a shamefull performance in World Championship I made a rest about F3B. Now is time to work hard again. Looking for 2016 Calendar I went to Pla de Vent field to make some flights and check everything is ok. Sadly, we confirmed Hollenbeck winch is ko and one of my mallet colapsed after nailed turnaround... :-( I hope to make a first good training next Saturday with lot of flights ;-)

F3F Club Contest

We have had some f3f flights that morning in our club contest.

Wind was so light we just achieved to make two rounds with very stressfull flights. I just thought to end 10 laps in both flights.

My dad and me were lucky and we win a lipo battery and balancer :-)

New year... New season... New WC for next Summer. With a little bit of luck I am in Spanish Team with Daniel Portella and Carles Aymat.

We meet last week in Pla de Vent field to talk about WC plan. We would like to compete in both World Cups in France.

Our weapons: Fosa Lift, Jedi, Pike Precision and Jazz.

Local F3B Contest

We made a small f3b contest last Sunday (Speed and Duration tasks). I try to meet as much peoples as posible but I didn't success :-( Just 8 pilots. I hope we will be more competitors next contest on November.

We set bases and winch lines early in the morning and after first duration task wind direction changed so we have to stop and change winches and pulleys (you were right Carles... I know...)

We have very good conditions luckily and lot of us beat our PB in speed task :-) Daniel Portella and Adrian Rodríguez were very inspired making amazing Speed flights. Congratulations guys! We have time to have a nice Paella in field house. We ended contest about four o`clock win price giving ceremony and we packed all stuff later.

A big thank you to our club mates for their help. I hope November contest have a better success.
