Local F3B Contest

We made a small f3b contest last Sunday (Speed and Duration tasks). I try to meet as much peoples as posible but I didn't success :-( Just 8 pilots. I hope we will be more competitors next contest on November.

We set bases and winch lines early in the morning and after first duration task wind direction changed so we have to stop and change winches and pulleys (you were right Carles... I know...)

We have very good conditions luckily and lot of us beat our PB in speed task :-) Daniel Portella and Adrian Rodríguez were very inspired making amazing Speed flights. Congratulations guys! We have time to have a nice Paella in field house. We ended contest about four o`clock win price giving ceremony and we packed all stuff later.

A big thank you to our club mates for their help. I hope November contest have a better success.

Everything was packed and ready to go to Pla de Vent field, but wind conditions make us to hesitate to drive to field club :-(

IT in Open F3B A Cañiza 2013

Organization is developing an App for smartphones to check contest results in real time on field by wifi. First tests on field will be made tomorrow and we are sure will be available for World Cup in A Cañiza.

Contest will be managed with a Panel Score already used last season successfully. We have to thank to these guys for their efforts to make a fantastic contest again!

Smiles & Tears

It should be a happy day today but it has ended like on of the saddest f3b days of my live. It was first flight of the day, a relax duration flight and suddenly I lost control of my FS4 Black at 200 meters of altitude. "Fortunately" butterflies work before crash. I have to repair fuse and left wing, right one is split so I will buy a new one. At least FS4 looks promising but I think I'll fly in Kirchheim with FS4 RDS. Some potos here. I just can go ahead!

Extasy at Home

My father is very happy with his Extasy and two weeks ago we saw a good offer in Jiri Tuma site so we bought a new Extasy. He has arrived today. There's lot of work in workshop: FS4, Electro Junior, Aspririn and Ocelot repairs, "my father´s broken arm",... so I hope Extasy will be on fire in feew weeks ;-) Some potos here.

I already have my "30 Laps Machine". Now is time for training very hard and I'll get :-P We had a good weather forcast for Sunday finally so my dad and me met with Portella Family (thanks for pulleys  Javier!!!) Some potos here.

Jaro Müller has a new F3B-F3F model: Eldorado. It looks an Egida evolution's for F3B/F flying. Wheight spectrum is very promising: 1900 - 3900. Two kilos of ballast???!!! Gods didn`t want we fly that weekend...

Weather forcast for that weekend was not quite good. We anticipated very strong winds in Pla de Vent field so we have rised to Santa Coloma slope. While we drive up to slope rain has begun and increased slowly. We have just time to prepare a protection form my MC-20 and make some flights :-( Gods didn`t want we fly that weekend... :-(

Interesting article from Cirrus RC Flyklubb about Ober Winch and low temperatures. We don't have that problem in Spain, we were flying last day in sunny conditions with 18º C :-P
